Welcome to Peak Scroll
("we," "our," or "us"). We operate the Peak
Scroll SaaS platform, designed to help you automate, generate, and publish
social media content—including posts, video ads, images, status updates, reels,
and comments—across various third-party networks.
Your privacy is paramount to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your
information when you use our platform, website, and services (collectively, the
"Service").
Please read this policy carefully. By
accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of
information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1.
Information We Collect
We collect several types of
information to provide, improve, and secure our Service.
A.
Personal Data You Provide to Us
- Account Information:
When you register for an account, we collect personal details such as your
name, email address, company name, billing address, and contact
information.
- Payment Data:
All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment
processors. We do not directly store your credit card or financial account
numbers.
B.
Content and Social Media Data (The Core Service)
To automate and publish content on
your behalf, Peak Scroll interacts directly with your connected social media
accounts.
- Connected Account Credentials/Tokens: We use secure OAuth authentication tokens to connect
to your third-party social media profiles, pages, groups, and channels
(including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok,
Reddit, Discord, Pinterest, and YouTube). We never store your raw
social media passwords.
- Client-Provided Content: We collect and store text, images, videos, comments,
and hashtags that you upload or input into the platform for scheduling or
publishing.
- AI-Generated Content:
If you use our integrated AI tools, we process and store the prompts you
provide, as well as the AI-generated text, images, videos, comments, or
hashtags created for your campaigns.
C.
Automatically Collected Data
- Usage and Log Data:
We automatically collect info about how you use our platform, such as your
IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, and
system logs.
- Cookies and Tracking:
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your login
session, remember your preferences, and analyze platform performance.
2.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the
following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: To authenticate your social media accounts, generate
AI content at your request, and successfully publish posts, reels, ads,
and comments to your connected platforms.
- To Maintain and Improve the Platform: To monitor usage trends, fix bugs, optimize the user
interface, and develop new features.
- To Communicate With You: To send account updates, invoices, security alerts,
technical notices, and promotional content (which you can opt out of at
any time).
- To Ensure Security and Compliance: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, unauthorized
access, or violations of our Terms of Service.
3.
How Data is Shared and Disclosed
We do not sell your personal data.
We only share your information in the following specific circumstances:
A.
Third-Party Social Media Platforms
By using Peak Scroll, you are explicitly
directing us to share your content (posts, images, videos, hashtags) and
actions (publishing, commenting) with the social media platforms you have
linked to your account. These platforms include, but are not limited to:
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
- X (formerly Twitter)
- TikTok
- Reddit
- Discord
- Pinterest
- Google (YouTube)
Important: Once content is published to these networks, its treatment
is governed by the respective privacy policies of those third-party platforms.
We encourage you to review their policies.
B.
Third-Party AI and Infrastructure Service Providers
- AI Models:
To provide AI-generated text, images, and videos, we may share your
content prompts with secure third-party AI processing engines (such as
OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers). We do not permit these providers
to use your data to train their public models unless explicitly stated.
- Cloud Hosting & Tools: We share data with reliable sub-processors (e.g.,
cloud hosting providers, database services, and customer support tools)
necessary to run our platform.
C.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if
required to do so by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we
believe such action is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of
Peak Scroll or our users.
4.
Data Security and Retention
Security
Measures
We implement robust,
industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures
(including end-to-end encryption for tokens and data in transit) to protect
your information. However, please remember that no method of transmission over
the internet is 100% secure.
Data
Retention
We retain your personal information
and uploaded/generated content for as long as your account is active or as
needed to provide you with the Service.
- If you disconnect a social media account, we
immediately delete the access tokens associated with that account.
- If you terminate your Peak Scroll account, we will
delete your stored data within a reasonable timeframe, except where
retention is legally required.
5.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location (such as
the EU under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have specific rights
regarding your personal data:
- Access & Portability: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold
about you.
- Correction:
You can update or correct your account information at any time via your
account settings dashboard.
- Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request that we delete your account and all
associated personal data.
- Revoke Access:
You can disconnect Peak Scroll's access to your social media accounts at
any time directly through our platform, or by revoking permissions within
the security settings of the respective social media networks.
To exercise any of these rights,
please contact us at the email address provided below.
6.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for use
by individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover we have
inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.
7.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy
from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory
reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new
policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top, or
by sending an email notification.
